Keep the same chunky, cute, stylised brick look and keep everything that works (the tan muzzle, pink tongue, long shaggy layered ears, feathered tail, colours). Don't rebuild it from scratch or make it realistic and detailed, just fix the proportions so she reads as a cocker spaniel like the photo instead of a dachshund: she is too long and too low. Make her legs noticeably longer so she stands taller (about as tall at the shoulder as she is long, like the photo), shorten the body a little so it is more compact, and raise the head on a short sturdy neck so it is held up and forward rather than level with the back. Also make the eyes bigger, round black eye tiles with a small white highlight like the cute style, sitting a bit higher on the face, and add a few lighter auburn-red highlights on the ears and chest so it isn't all one flat brown.
